Special Performances
Throughout our 20 year history presenting multicultural music, theater and dance performances, Soundscape has developed a broad network of performers representing many parts of the world and many different artistic styles. If your school or organization is planning a performance, festival, open house or staff party, Soundscape is an invaluable resource.
Professional Services
Soundscape offers a variety of professional services including teacher training, curriculum development and community workshops. Our workshops and educational programs integrate a training component with detailed lesson plans that illustrate how classroom teachers can replicate our programs on their own.
What Does the World Sound Like?
Soundscape is developing an interactive CD Rom which explores the connections between music, language and religion in cultures around the world.
Summer Camp Fund
Soundscape Arts Education partners with Rowe Camp and Conference Center to promote the Margaret Woodside Diversity Fund. The program pays full tuition for talented inner city students to attend Rowe’s summer sleep-away camp in the Berkshire Mountains in Massachusetts.
Recording, Graphic Design and Filmmaking Resources
Soundscape is equipped with the latest technology to produce top of the line creative projects with your school.
Our studio includes:
• Pro Tools Digi Design 001 for multi-track digital music recording;
• Final Cut Pro for video and filmmaking; and
• Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign and Quark for graphic design.
Rates
Rates for academic programs vary from $275-$400 for a full day (4-5 classes) and from $150-$250 for a half day or for after school. Rates for assemblies are generally between $150-$350 depending on length and nature of the program. Prices for special performances, training and consulting services are worked out on a case-by-case basis.
